Accommodation
The community of Sani Isla lodge accommodates only 20 guests, emphasizing quality rather than quantity, and thereby offering you a more intimate experience with the rainforest. The lodge itself consists of ten, private, thatch-roofed cabanas, each with a modern bathroom. The cabanas are spaciously designed for double occupancy, and have screened in windows to guard against insects while you sleep. Electric lights at the lodge run from ecologically friendly solar energy instead of a noisy generator so the night sounds will be pure and natural. Oil lamps are also provided for those who appreciate that rustic feel.
The bar, lounge, and dining room at Sani Jungle Lodge overlook the lagoon and offer both first class service as well as premier views of wild life and of the setting sun

Meals
The cuisine during your adventure will be innovative, combining examples of fresh, local ingredients with an international style. Vegetarian, chicken and fish dishes will be served. Fresh bread, baked daily and scrumptious exotic fruits will greet you in the morning. At lunch, sip on refreshing exotic juices, like guanabana, guava, passion fruit, cactus fruit, citrus, and coconut. And in the evening after a beautiful meal, original deserts and fine Ecuadorian coffee will send you happily satisfied to a comfy chair in the lounge to reflect on the day’s adventures in the Amazon.
Our open-air dining room offer exquisite views of colorful sunsets over our beautiful lake. Every day, three exquisite meals are served for the delight of our guests. The call of our bamboo horn indicates that everything is prepared.

The bar opens from 7 am until 11.00 pm. Drinks, snacks, binoculars, games and an acoustic guitar are available to make everything more pleasant for our guests
Hardcore Bird Watching
It has been said that Ecuador has more birds per square mile than any other country in the world. Almost 1600 bird species have been registered in Ecuador, representing almost 15% of all the species in the world.
Sani Isla is located between 2 of the more diverse ecological reserves in the world, The Yasuni National Park and the Cuyabeno reserve. Our territory represents a natural corridor for an amazing variety of bird species, so we are proud to say that coming to our lodge is like going to BIRD WATCHERS HEAVEN. In our short history as a lodge, there have been found more than 500 species in our land and we are constantly finding new species to add to our list. Don’t forget to visit our famous birdwatching tower 120 feet above the forest floor.
Our virgin and unexplored terrain, present some exclusive highlights such as the Paradise Jacamar, Rufous Potoo, long tailed Potoo and others. These remarkable species can be seen at our lodge with the help of our expert native guides. Hence, you might find more than a couple of "lifers" during your stay at our lodge.
In the minimum tour of 4 days/ 3 nights, our guests see in average from 100 to120 species. But for avid birders, this statistic may vary enormously up to 250 species. We recommend at least the tour of 4 nights / 5 days to get better chances of finding that unique species that make our lodge such a extraordinary place for Birdwatching.
