BIOLOGICAL RESERVE LIMONCOCHA

 

In this tourist destination we can observe birds, monkeys, caimans, amphibions, gigantic trees, medicinal plants, fish for piranhas, and also canoe around the lagoon.  Our cabins are provided with double rooms, shared baths, place for holding meetings at the edge of the Limoncocha Lake. 

 

4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS. 

 

FIRST DAY.-

 

9h00       Leave from Francisco de Orellana (Coca) heading towards Pompeya: approximate trip time 2 hours.  We will take our private terrestrial transportation. 

11h00     Visit the Archaeological museum CICAME in Pompeya. 

12h00     Box Lunch

13h00     We Leave from Pompeya to the town of Limoncocha. We will use terrestrial transportation: approximate time 15 minutes. 

13h15     We enter the reserve and take the canoe bound for the native house where we will stay the two following nights.

14h00     In the afternoon we will navigate the Limoncocha lagoon observing birds, monkeys, and sport fishing. 

19h00     Supper

21h00     We will rest to be ready for the following day. 

 

SECOND DAY.-

 

8h00       Breakfasts

9h00       we will navigate the lagoon rowing in a canoe for 1 hour, then we will walk in the forest for 2 hours, where we will observe birds, monkeys, insects, amphibions, and gigantic trees. 

12h00     Box Lunch

14h00     Return to the native house where we will rest. 

16h00     We will Navigate the lagoon observing birds, monkeys, we will fish  

                piranhas for supper. 

20h00     Observation of caimans at night. 

22h00     We will rest for the following day.

 

THIRD DAY.-

 

6h00       We leave to navigate the lagoon: bird-watching, monkeys, amphibious,

                fishing for piranhas

9h00       Breakfast

10h00     Walk through the forest observing insects, birds, monkeys, amphibions,

                and medicinal plants. 

13h00     Lunch

14h00     We leave the community bound for sleeping in the forest in our tents. We will visit one of the gigantic trees the CEIBA PENTRANTA, which is believed to be the biggest tree in this part of the Amazon.  Approximate time 2 hours

16h00     We prepare our camp and sit back and enjoy the sounds of the jungle at night. 

19h00     Bonfire,

20h00     Nocturnal Walk: 20 minutes. 

21h00     We Rest to be ready for the following day. 

 

FOURTH DAY.-

 

7h00       Breakfast

7h30       We Return to the native house. 

11h00     We will Observe the forms of life of the Quichua culture, medicinal

                plants. 

12h00     Lunch

12h30     We return to Francisco de Orellana navigating the Napo river.

15h00     We will lodge at San Fermín Hotel. 

 

                                             END OF THE TRIP.
