TOUR TO THE LIMONCOCHA BIOLOGICAL RESERVE This destination is an exceptional place for bird-watching as it is possible to see as many as 20-30 different species of bird in one day. There are also amphibians, monkeys, exotic insects, gigantic trees and caimans, which can be as long as four meters long. Departs from Francisco de Orellana (Coca) and going to Limoncocha. TOUR TO THE YASUNI NATIONAL PARK-COMMUNITIES OF ÑONENO- BAMENO The Huaorani were traditionally semi-nomadic people that spent much of their time trekking from one location in the jungle to another. Now the live in permanent communitiesand have adopted certain aspects of modern life. Their communities of Noneno and Bameno are interesting and relatively comfortable places to visit where you can spend time with the Huaorani people and share culture, stories, myths, and legends. There is also plenty of wildlife to observe such as monkeys, birds, caimans, and even, if you are lucky, wild boars. These trips can be done any day of the week, but usually require that the tourist arrive in Coca two days prior to departure. TOUR YASUNI NATIONAL PARK – JATUNCOCHA LAGOON This destination is located a short distance from the Peruvian border and requires that we navigate up the Yasuni River, crossing into the Nasino river and arriving in the heart of the Yasuni National Park. During the journey, and in Jatuncocha, it is possible to observe a variety of birds such as macaws, toucans, tragones, falcons, hawks, harpie eagles, and hoatzins, as well as wild boars, tapir, grey and pink dolphins, and, finally, caimans. You can fish for piranha, listen to birds at night, and maybe, even you are very lucky, hear the sound of a jaguar roar as it is out hunting at night. During the night the forest becomes a symphony of beautiful animals living their lives in the wild, something very wonderful to experience. TOUR YASUNI NATIONAL PARK AND THE CUYABENO RESERVE The many lagoons found in this adventure are considered to be the source of life for this part of the Amazon. The twenty lagoons contain extensive flora and fauna that can be viewed as the traveler is passing through. We will travel through the labyrinth of lagoons, which is one of the only places where you can see caimans during the day because they are so numerous and are relatively unafraid of humans.
