ABOUT US

We have worked in the area since 1967, when Puerto Francisco de Orellana or as it more commonly known as "Coca", was only accessible by boat. Since there were no roads, all food and equipment was transported by boat from Misahualli to Nuevo Rocafuerte, near the Peruvian border.  Back then, the travelers would leave Misahualli before sunrise and in a day, get as far as Coca. Our town turned into a place where travelers would stop and rest before continuing their journey down the Napo River.

Originally, travelers would stay in the homes of indigenous people or colonists, so we saw the need to build lodging for travelers. Since 1971, we have been working hard to try and provide the best of services. As a result in 2002, we jointly created a adventure tourism department along with different native ethnic groups, with the aim of providing responsible and sustainable tourism.

In 2010, our company began to offer more tourist options with trips to Iquitos, Machu Picchu, Madre de Dios in Peru. We also now offer tours to destinations such as the Galapagos in Ecuador that may be combined with other destinations in South America

Our Vision.-
To develop adventure tourism that includes hiking, canoeing, and camping in the forest in order to observe animal and plant species that can only be found in this part of the world. We enter and leave the forest without leaving a trace and without affecting negatively native cultures through favoritism, division and dramatically changing their forms of life.
Our most basic goal is to protect the forest, the flora and fauna, indigenous cultures and the legends and myths of the region. We want to help sustain this paradise for the next generation and those that follow them as the world around this paradise constantly changes.

Our Objectives.-
We try to maintain the forest in its pure state, and assist the indigenous groups living in the upper Amazon region of Ecuador to live sustainably through ecotourism projects. Our major goal is to protect the flora and fauna in the region as well as indigenous cultures..
